Has anyone ever done one of those work from home online business things?
Does it work? Do you realistically have the potential to make the money they say? What are you doing exactly? Are some of them different then others?
Green Monkey….
I have tried a few things and it is definitely a different world working at home for yourself versus at a job working under someone else.
The survey thing didn’t pay (I am still owed money from doing them) and even when they do it is very little money for the effort. This was my experience and there very well may be some companies that are better than others. It will just take some homework.
Like the other responder said, avoid things that require you to pay out hundreds or thousands of dollars to get started. This is pretty much a no-brainer for most of us because we simply don’t have that kind of money laying around. However, there is an understanding that to start your own business there will be a start up fee involved or some other form of payment (ie so many qualifying parties or customers).
What I usually recommend is that you look around and find what fits with your personality. Find something that you believe in and then run with it! Everyone should have their own home based business!

I suppose some people have made money. If you have to invest anything, I don’t think you should try it. Also, if you have to collect payments for some company, don’t do it. I know someone who ended up in jail. He was working from home collecting payments for a company that didn’t deliver. There are many creative people out there. There are many Internet businesses you can start on your own, and a lot of info on the Internet that can help you find out how. Don’t trust anybody. People do anything for money.

Work from home or online is not much different from brick and mortar business… you offer a product, service, or information in exchange for money.
Just as you can become rich owning a book store, you can also become rich selling and delivering digital books(ebooks)
However, within the online and work from home opportunities… many scams abound because they prey on most people’s weakness… greed!
On the other hand, there are many viable work from home, and internet ventures you can do that pay very, very well, and requires little of your time. There are two that I have personally been doing for 14 years now.
take a look at the articles and resources at the link below for more realistic, profitable, and legitimate insight.
Hope this helps you in some small way, and you’re free to contact me for further assistance if you desire.

Not all W.F.H. are scams, but there are far few that are legit. I’ve been making money on internet for a few years and I have been scammed by a many W.F.H. methods. But I’ve finally found the most legitimate, effective and fast way for anyone to make money and that’s doing paid surveys.
Now I do understand it is difficult for anyone to judge whether a paid survey site is good or not. So I’ve a started a tutorial to help beginners make money on internet.
If you’re interested click my screen name and check out my profile for more information (I am unable to post direct links, due to Yahoo! Answers laws).

Never join a work at home program that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, why would they need to charge?

In a Perfect Life, probably anything works IF you work it.. Look into any business venture real close. Three years ago I started looking for a Home Business and I checked out Hundreds. After 4 months I singled out a Company and I have been with them for over two years and haven’t regretted a day of it.. If they want a large investment up front, be weary. But like I said at first, You have to commit yourself to build a business and that is in any Business. Good Luck!!!

I recommend Treasure Trooper. I love it. The money I make isn’t enough to "quit my day job", but it is a quick way to make extra cash! You get paid by monthly check, and there are offers that are 100% cost free and offers that require some "shipping and handling" fees. It’s a great site with a lot of support and a good referral system. If you are interested, please consider signing up through my link

If you do sign up, send me an email on yahoo, and I can send you a list of some very useful tips to make the money quick and easy. My email address is ttaccount@yahoo.com

Here is one that is not MLM or anything.
The only way to make money is buy a desirable product the public needs at a low price and sell it for a profit.
My aunt had to retire and is on dialysis and could not work. She buys Micro-Fiber Towels from w w w EazeeClean com
and sells and has returning customers b/c everyone loves these micro-fiber towels.
I am not sure how this web-site can sell them so inexpensively, but she makes pretty good.
Here is what she does-
Your target customers would be Home cleaners, Janitors, Churches wanting to do fundraisers, Car detail shops.
You could give away samples and then those customers end up buying over and over again..
She Buys them in Bulk and resell for $5 or $6 ea
Or sells in packages of 2 per package and sell for $10…
(You can sell more for less effort this way.)
She created a free web-site at Yahoo to promote.
She got Free business cards on Vistaprint
You can buy as little as 5 cloths to try it out…very low start-up just to see if you will enjoy it. If not, use the 5 for yourself…they work great.
I hope this helps and good luck !…
