Create Your Success Story!!
I keep thinking about the successful leaders in this community of online entrepreneurs – they have laid out their formula for all to see. I have heard the success stories from the top earners in our community and I decided to be one. I simply “copied” their methods and applied them to my marketing. I can’t wait to see your name on the leaderboards!!
Who doesn’t want to be successful? I certainly do. Successful in my calling. Successful in marriage. Successful in parenting. The word successful means “coming about, taking place, or turning out to be as was hoped for.” We all have hopes and dreams and success means that our dreams are fulfilled. The challenge with success is not the desire to be successful. The challenge centers around the paths we take to reach the desired destination.
We can achieve a semblance of success on our own. But without a solid commitment, effort, belief, support system(spouse?), a mentor, a team, a foundation and solid resources our efforts are built on sand. If the foundation is shaky on the best days then it is washed away when the storms hit.

We need to join in the celebration of victories. When a one of our team members has a new member join the team, give them a call of congratulations. Everybody wins with new business.
If another suggests a new product idea, or improved work process, don’t be a stumbling block, celebrate the better idea and jump on board.
Inquire how the member was acquired, or how the better idea was conceived. Then learn to apply the same principles to your work.

The first thing you must do is understand the overall concept of what we are doing to be successful. We are marketing. First and foremost you will be marketing YOURSELF. We have a remarkable opportunity here and you must understand that your success depends on people coming into the opportunity through you.
There are two concepts we must grasp in this business to grow, stand out and create meaningful relationships – YES – meaningful relationships. I am not working an MLM business. I did not commit to internet marketing to be a salesperson. I am not gathering leads to simply add to my e-mail list. I am not knocking on doors and handing out fliers. I am attracting people to me and thus the opportunity.
Let me explain — I do use the system to gather leads. But leads are a means to an end. The system is designed to weed out the tire kickers and the lottery based mentalities. So the leads are sorted out and the prospects will move through the Sales Funnel. Now I am working and talking to people that are truly interested in building a business. I am not interested in talking to “leads” all day and chasing people around. I have done that and do not wish to go through that spin cycle again. I want to have a conversation that is enjoyed by both parties.
So what are the two concepts that we must understand?
1. Establishing yourself as a leader and attract like minded individuals. You may not be an expert – YET!! But you can be a leader and establish a relationship with your team members and not simply blasting sales pitches all day to an e-mail list and hope something happens. Personal Branding is what we need to do to be successful in this business. The opportunity here is great, but people are joining YOU first. 2. The Sales Funnel. Its crucial to understand this attraction marketing concept. Rod Moore does a great job of explaining this. He offers a free attraction marketing university at www.freedomduplicator.com that is well worth the time.
A lot of the material we utilized is geared toward MLM. I don’t want you to confuse this opportunity with an MLM but the tools are effective for our marketing strategies.
